Paste image from clipboard as an attachment.

  • uses pure client side JavaScript (no Java or Flash dependency)
  • attachment works for issues, wiki, news, files, documents, forums
  • image can be interactively cropped
  • tested only with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and the last versions of Internet Explorer (11+)
  • translations: Bulgarian, Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (+ Brazil), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Taiwanese Mandarin, Turkish
  • When reporting issues provide the following information:
    • Redmine version
    • clipboard_image_paste plugin version
    • web browser name and version, http or https
    • operating system version Redmine is running on

2024/2 - I had to edit it to make it work for 5.1.x but it works. and I like it way better than the native behavior that was integrated into Redmine.

Redmine 4.1 now includes this functionality - (I've not tried myself - but according to discussion on Github for this plugin:

I have been using this plugin without any problems for last 6 years.

For Redmine to 4.0.1, it seems it needs some extra work because not working yet.

Luckily they have made the fix(#84) and it is running perfectly with new Redmine and Rails.

I used it since redmine 2.4, but the last version 1.12 doesn't works on my 3.4.6.

The plugin is apparently well installed, but nothing appears on the edit issue.

Love this - very useful in Win10, take screenshots in the snip tool, and they go straight into redmine. Can believe this isnt installed by default.

Must have plugin!
But on Redmine 3.3.3 I had to create manually /public/plugin_assets/clipboard_image_paste folder and copy there folders from /plugins/clipboard_image_paste/assets to make it work properly.

I'd love to get this working with 3.3.0.stable. I have v1.10 of the plugin but when I unzip and put the folder in plugins and restart, I get a 500 error (which goes away when I remove the folder and restart)

Awesome plugin... use it on a regular basis..
We upgraded RM to 3.3 and had to make sure we got v1.10 of the plugin (as the download links were pointing to v1.9, which is not compatible with RM 3.3)

This is an exellent plugin for redmine 2.3 and ruby 2.0.0, is it planned to make a compatibility with Redmine 3.2 and ruby 2.2 ?
I have updated my redmine server and really would like to continue use it :)

Huge time saver. Perfect for copying notes from OneNote - you select text in OneNote and pasting to RedMine creates a sleek and clean image out of that.
