Redmine 1.3/1.2.2 release with Remote API for issue relations
Added by Alex Last about 13 years ago
guys, can you please please release the new Redmine version with the API for issue relations? it's a crucial feature for our application and many people are waiting for this Redmine version now.
maybe this can be released in Redmine 1.2.2 if there are not enough features to call it "1.3.0".
we can dedicate our time to help with the release

1.2.2 is a minor release dedicated to fixes; as for 1.3.0 release, I'm sorry you'll have to wait for JPL's return.

JPL does not respond to email. is he still interested in this project? I don't have that impression.

JPL works by periods on his project, he reads mail and stay up-to-date as much as he can. He fixed redmine.org website yesterday when it went down.
If you require some REST features to be focused on first, please give them and I'll have a look.

I can only underline what Alexey expressed in his Mail: please release asap
the new Redmine version with the API for issue relations!!! It is really ugly
to convert project plans from MS Project loosing all relations between tasks -
severl project teams are waiting for bug fix of this feature!!!
Merci pour votre soutien, c'est vraiment embêtant de perdre beaucoup de temps
quand on doit convertir un fichier MSP en Redmine et lorsqu´on doit reprendre chaque
task pour refaire les liens dans le projet!

Frank, Alexey, don't forget Redmine is a FOSS-project...

Sure, that's why I offered my team's help several times - no response whatsoever.

Wow I haven't been over here in a long time, sad to see the same state of affairs as when we all left :( fwiw I see merge requests getting pulled all the time over at the fork. Maybe try venting your frustration in the form of patches over there Alexey?
I really hate seeing people getting frustrated over these things, including myself, which is why I haven't spent any time on the redmine forums in so long, though I don't have any ill-will towards it, it's just simply frustrating.

I won't begin to argue about that here because it's not the place, but yeah, if your sole criterion is the number of bullet points under a version number, then we're probably dead :-)

I see Redmine development is going full-speed again. this is great!
guys, do you have an idea when you could release 1.3.0? we're thinking whether or not we should release our own Redmine plugin for "remote issue relations operations" - which is only required until Redmine 1.3.0 is out...

Etienne, is is possible to implement this simple (but very important) REST API improvement -
#6721 Allow setting issue assignment by username via REST interface
?
